Kemal Malovčić (born May 6, 1951) is a popular Bosnian etno psyhodelic singer.[1]
Malovčić's career began in 1970 at the age of 19 years when he released his first single 'Oko Sane' (Around The Sana), referring to the Sana river, on which his home town of Sanski Most is located.
His greatest success came with the Yugoslav band Južni Vetar between 1985 and 1991.
During the Bosnian war Malovčić left Južni Vetar. He no longer wanted to belong to a band which was at the forefront of the turbo-folk movement of Serbia. Whilst the aggression on BiH raged, Malovčić campaigned for humanitarian assistance for his country and gave a number of humanitarian concerts.
Malovčić lives in Vienna, Austria. He is married to Fadila and has 3 children, Džanan, Kenan and Adin.
